Why Your Lips Need SPF Protection

Your lips have some of the thinnest skin on your body and very little melanin to protect it. So they burn, dry out, and chap faster than the skin around them. A daily lip balm with SPF fixes that in one step – the step almost everyone forgets right after doing their face. SPF Level & UVA/UVB Coverage

Not all sun protection is equal. This is a broad-spectrum lip balm, meaning it’s tested against UVA rays (the aging ones) and UVB rays (the burning ones) rather than only one of them. At SPF 30, the lip balm filters roughly 97% of UVB rays while staying light enough that you’ll actually keep it on.

The UV protection itself comes from a tested SPF blend: 7.5% octinoxate, 5% octisalate, 4% oxybenzone, and 3% avobenzone.
